Singapore

Stop Fifteen, Singapore - 15/07/2015 to 19/07/2015
We arrived in Singapore at 6am after taking a sleeper train from Kuala Lumpur. Tired and cranky, our initial impressions of the country vis-a-vis immigration weren't great but we were determined to have our minds changed. In our 5 day stay we travelled to most districts visiting local landmarks such as the Marina Bay Sands and Raffles Hotels, photographing iconic attractions like the Super Trees Grove and the Merlion. We ate fabulous dim sum in Chinatown and sampled Little India's Teh Tarik. We trekked all over Sentosa Island in a full-day visit to Resorts World, taking in Universal Studios, S.E.A Aquarium and Palawan Beach. We stood on the sounternmost tip of continental Asia and we drank overpriced Singapore Slings! In the end, our impression of Singapore is: the humidity is difficult, the queues are long, the hotels are expensive, but if you can get past those things it's a fun, attractive and interesting city to spend a few days wandering around - not to mind the shopping if you have some spare cash!
